Giving Programs
Theta Phi Alpha Foundation’s continued hope is to continue enriching the lives of Theta Phi Alpha members and the causes Theta Phi Alpha cares about. Theta Phi Alpha Foundation accepts gifts of support through different means.
While we welcome gifts of support from anyone who would like to support Theta Phi Alpha Foundation’s mission, our following giving programs are available for Theta Phi Alpha members.
Sisterhood Society
Year 1 - Rose
Year 2 - Compass
Year 3 - Penguin
Year 4 - Sapphire Heart
Visit the Member Portal of MyThetaPhi, where you may contribute on the Foundation Giving tab. Check the Sisterhood Society box to ensure your contribution recognizes this unique program.
Alumnae members are eligible to purchase the charms at National Conventions or gatherings. Purchases of the charms on behalf of collegians qualify with a note from the donor in your donation tab.
Sustaining Sister Program
The Sustaining Sister program enables donors to set up recurring contributions to the Theta Phi Alpha Foundation on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis. This approach allows sisters to support the foundation consistently, even if they can’t attend an event. It also simplifies planning your tax-deductible donation. We offer several flexible payment options for recurring giving.
Set up regular monthly donations from your bank account by completing this form. Send it to ThetaPhiNO@thetaphialpha.org with “Sustaining Sister” in the subject line, or mail it to National Office at the address listed on the form.
Authorize recurring payments using a credit or debit card through the Member Portal of MyThetaPhi, where you can select the timing that best suits you.
A receipt of your donation will be emailed to you for your records. Thank you!
1912 Society
Just as Theta Phi Alpha has made an impact on your life, your life can provide a lasting effect to Theta Phi Alpha Foundation through a planned gift. 1912 Society members have provided the ultimate gift to Theta Phi Alpha Foundation, which will help to ensure its future.
Upon notification of arrangements for a planned gift, a sister becomes a member of the 1912 Society. We recognize this special status in our Annual Report, if desired, as well as with a commemorative pin with “Theta Phi Alpha 1912” written in Amelia McSweeney’s handwriting in recognition of your generosity to Theta Phi Alpha Foundation.
Planned giving includes several options:
A bequest in your will is a popular way to make a planned gift. Bequests can include cash gifts and transfers of stocks, mutual funds, 401(k)s, and IRAs.
The Foundation can also be named as a life insurance policy beneficiary.
Annuities and trusts can provide donors with income and allow the Foundation to be the ultimate beneficiary. These income plans may allow donors to avoid significant taxes while supporting Theta Phi Alpha Foundation.
Theta Phi Alpha recommends that donors consult a certified financial planner and/or attorney when making decisions regarding bequests, annuities, or trusts.
If you would like to receive more information around planned giving, please contact us at foundation@thetaphialpha.org.
